Common questions
I bought a pack but it's not unlocked
Open the Pack Store inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple or Google account for any packs you've already bought. If the pack still doesn't appear, email us with your purchase confirmation from Apple or Google and we'll help sort it out.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us:
- Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Google Play: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history, find the order, and tap Report a problem.
Audio isn't playing
Check that your device isn't on silent or in Do Not Disturb. Inside the app, the auto-play audio switch should be on. You can also tap the speaker icon on any card to play the word manually.
Can I use the app on more than one device?
Yes. Install the app on each device using the same Apple ID or Google account, then tap Restore Purchases in the Pack Store on each one.
Does the app work with switch access or other accessibility tools?
Find My Words is designed to work with iOS Switch Control, VoiceOver, Android Switch Access, and TalkBack, with one-handed use in mind. If you find a screen or interaction that isn't working well with your setup, please email us — that feedback directly shapes how we improve the app.
Is the app suitable for children?
Find My Words is designed for adults with aphasia. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle age and data.
How do I delete data the app has shared with services like analytics?
The app stores most data only on your device, and uninstalling clears it. For data held by the services described in our Privacy Policy (anonymous analytics, crash reporting, etc), see the Your choices section of the Privacy Policy or email us and we'll help.
Feedback and feature requests
Find My Words is built for people with aphasia, their families, and the speech-language pathologists who work with them. If there's a word, category, or feature you'd like to see — or something that's getting in your way — please tell us. Email lanterndigitalllc@gmail.com.
